Baked Apple Cider Donuts

Ingredients
  

  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup apple cider
  • 1/3 cup plain yogurt (I used plain nonfat Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and spray a donut baking pan with cooking spray.
  • In your stand mixer, add your wet ingredients and combine.
  • Add your dry ingredients to the batter and mix well.
  • Add the batter to a piping bag and using the bag, pipe the batter into each donut well in the pan. Fill each donut about 3/4 of the way with the batter.
  • Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes and cool on a wire rack.
  • While donuts are cooling, melt half a stick of butter and mix together cinnamon and sugar.
  • Once donuts are cooled, using a silicone brush, brush each donut with melted butter and dip in cinnamon sugar. Then enjoy!
