Christmas desserts are some of my favorites. I usually am a savory person over sweet, but when it comes to the holidays, I love desserts. When I hosted the holiday party last year for my friends, I wanted to serve a few desserts and of course, homemade ones at that. I searched high and low on Pinterest for some holiday favorites and came across these three: mini peppermint cheesecakes, mini orange cranberry cheesecakes and mini chocolate mouse brownie trifles. Go check out these recipes from my fellow bloggers, you won’t regret it, just keep scrolling for the pics! You’ll be drooling!
Two of these desserts are cheesecakes, but I feel like cheesecake is such a classic holiday dessert. I mean, come on, at every holiday party, there is at least one person that brings a cheesecake for dessert. Am I right or what? The best thing about these cheesecakes is that they’re NO BAKE. That’s right, no hassle there. Super easy to put together and they’re just as creamy as a cheesecake baked in the oven.
The peppermint cheesecakes had just the right amount of peppermint. I was a little weary about making peppermint cheesecake, wasn’t sure on the flavors meshing well together, but I have to tell you, they were divine. These give you that classic holiday candy and dessert in one. And with the crushed peppermint bits on top, the perfect touch to this dessert.
Cranberry and orange are pretty traditional Christmas flavors. Mix these two together with cheesecake and you have the tarty sweetness of cranberry and the tangy sweetness of citrus in one. Add the traditional graham cracker crust and you have all the holiday flavors in one. The perfect ending to a holiday dinner party.
My best friend’s husband, LOVES chocolate. And I make sure that at every party, I serve a chocolate dessert because I know he that will indulge. I’ve noticed over the years that people tend to not eat dessert, but I feel like dessert really brings the party or dinner together as a whole. I mean you start with appetizers, then move on to dinner and lastly, you end with dessert. What’s a party or dinner without dessert? Am I right?
So these chocolate mousse brownie trifles were the perfect dessert for her husband. ONE of the perfect endings to the night. I followed the blogger’s recipe to a T and they came out delicious. And they’re so easy. Who doesn’t love chocolate and brownies, TOGETHER?! I just dressed them up nice so they were presentable and they added to the classy holiday party I hosted.
Besides these three confections, I also served store-bought assorted cream puffs and of course, a hot chocolate bar, which you can read all about in my post found here. The three-tiered stand I purchased at TJ Maxx last year. I’ve seen similar ones in the store, as well as at its sister stores HomeGoods and Marshall’s. The mini dessert glasses I found on Amazon. The shooter glasses, the coupe bowls and the martini glasses are all linked. They really are great for a cocktail party or tasting party, they’re the perfect portion.
Try out these desserts for your next holiday party, you won’t be disappointed, I promise 🙂
