Yes, you read that right! Air fryer churros! If you do not own an air fryer, you will want one now! Air fryers have become pretty popular in the last few years. If you remember, I did a post on Air Fryer Corned Beef Egg Rolls for leftover corned beef and those came out delicious! These are just the same. Not your typical churros, but these are light, fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness! Plus, these are a healthier version than your traditional fried churros.

Grab your ingredients and let’s get started!

Don’t mind my little helper in the background 🙂

You will need puff pastry, cinnamon sugar and butter. That’s it. Just these three ingredients. These churros are THAT easy! The air fryer does all the work for you.

First, you want to preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees. Once you’ve programmed it, lay out your puff pastry sheet on a floured surface. The puff pastry has to be thawed, so keep that in mind.

Next, using a pizza cutter, cut your pastry sheet in half, lengthwise.

Then, with your pizza cutter, cut the pastry sheets into strips.

Once you are done cutting your pastry sheet, you should have about 18 strips. This really depends on how thin or thick you cut your strips.

By now your air fryer should almost be done preheating. To prep your puff pastry strips for the air fryer, make the strips into twists.

My air fryer held about 5 twists per basket. I could have added more to the basket but I wasn’t sure how big they’d end up being after air frying.

Air fryer for about 8 minutes until golden brown.

Once they’re all done air frying, prepare your butter. Melt half a stick of butter in the microwave for about 20 seconds.

Using a silicone pastry brush, brush the melted butter over each churro twist.

Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over each twist until covered. Then enjoy!

These are not your typical churros, but they’re light and crispy with just the right amount of sweetness.

Enjoy these with warmed chocolate syrup for dipping. It’s heavenly.

These are super addicting! Each box of puff pastry holds two sheets. You would have almost 40 churros then! Enough to go around!
