If this tablescape doesn’t scream red, white and blue I don’t know what will! This year for the Fourth of July I decided to decorate our dining room table for this patriotic holiday. I gathered some inspiration from Pinterest, scoured my go-to stores for bargains and went at it.
The centerpiece consisted of an Old Glory table runner, a white serving tray and three different lanterns. I wanted to keep with the rustic vibe by including the wood lantern but also bringing in the patriotic colors of red and white with the other two lanterns. I think it came out perfect. Just what I was going for.
I added traditional American flags for an added touch.
To continue with a rustic vibe, I layered rattan chargers with white doily cut chargers, white salad and dinner plates and topped it with a red or blue star dish. The star dish, whether red or blue, really complimented the white dishes.
Alternating with the star dishes were red or blue edged napkins thread through a galvanized napkin ring to finish off the table setting. I figured I could use these for other holidays as well – Memorial Day, Labor Day and even Christmas, there are stars during Christmas, right? Maybe just my way of justifying their purchase, but who’s counting? They look great!
These blue wine glasses I used last year as well for a coastal themed tablescape. I love when items can be recycled. You pay good money for them, put them to good use! Just the hint of blue I needed!
I hope this gives you the inspiration you needed! Have a fun and safe July 4th!
