Football is one of America’s favorite past-times, am I right? And one of the biggest games of the year is coming up this weekend, the Super Bowl. I have never really been a big fan of football, however, I do enjoy all the things that come along with it – the food, the beer, the parties, and of course, spending time with family and friends! I mean, that’s what it really comes down to right, folks? Many families and friends come together every Sunday and watch football all day while they chow down on good food and beer. What’s not to love? So I put together this football viewing party to inspire you for your next party!
To make things easier for my guests, I made utensil holders that were easy for them to grab with their plates and dig in. You can find the tutorial here. Super easy to make and makes clean-up a breeze!
No football party or tailgate for that matter is complete without a big ole’ pot of chili. I made my chili on the stove top and then transferred to the crockpot for easy serving. You can find the recipe here. I included a few fixings of shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream and chopped red onion. It makes for the perfect bowl of chili!
Beer cheese and pretzels. What’s not to love? The perfect combination. I found this beer cheese dip on Pinterest and it pairs perfectly with pretzel bites that you can find in your freezer aisle of your local grocery store.
Another great dip to serve at any party, is buffalo chicken dip. This dip serves up the perfect amount of heat, tang and savoriness all in one. I love using Tostitos tortilla scoops! to get just the right amount of dip in one bite!
Next up I included this Greek-inspired hummus dip. You serve this once at a party and you’ll serve it over and over again. Trust me. It’s pretty addicting. You can find the recipe here.
And what party isn’t complete, especially a football party, without sliders?! I found this recipe for easy Philly cheesesteak sliders on Pinterest and I will definitely be making it again. They were really easy to make. No lie. And I even made it easier by using a frozen bag of peppers and onions. Cuts down the prep down.
And last but not least, for a simple dessert, I served chocolate covered pretzels. I simply melted dark cocoa candy melt and dipped a pretzel stick in the candy and while still wet, sprinkled sprinkles over them and when dry, drizzled melted candy melt over top and decorated “football laces” as well. They came out super cute!
I hope you enjoyed this party and found inspiration for your own.
