I always love decorating my front porch for fall and the holiday season for that matter. Setting out pumpkins, planting beautiful mums and hanging a seasonal wreath. And let’s be real, your front porch is the first thing a person sees when they come to your house. It’s the first part of your home to make them feel welcome. To me, it’s important to make your porch as inviting as possible.

This year, we added a cast iron bench to our porch. My parents offered it to us and even though I was hesitant, I’m so glad we took it! My dad spray painted it a matte black and it’s just perfect on our front porch.

Last weekend, we had warmer weather here in North Jersey, so I decided it was time to officially decorate it for fall. I bought several mums from ShopRite and pumpkins from Trader Joe’s. Our local ShopRite always has mums on sale for a 3 for $12 deal and the size of these mums, you can’t beat the price! Our local Trader Joe’s has the cheapest pumpkins at all different sizes as well. These two stores are great to shop at for affordable fall decor!

For this year’s front porch decor, I used a mix of old items and new. For those of you that have been following me for awhile now, know I LOVE to shop at Christmas Tree Shops, Michaels, Kirkland’s, TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. Those are my go-to stores for all things home decor. And nothing changed for this year’s front porch either.

On the bench, I draped a orange plaid blanket, placed a long bench-sized pillow and added this cute little scarecrow guy I found last minute at Christmas Tree Shops.

The hay bales I’ve had for a few years. I bought them at Michael’s and store them in black carpenter bags when not in use. They add a lot of texture and dimension to the porch. And the fun thing about them is they can be reused for other theme parties as well.

I love, love, love my door mats. The black and white checker rug I bought at Target over the summer and the Hello Pumpkin one I bought at Christmas Tree Shops right after Labor Day. I’ll link a similar one I found on Amazon. The Hello Pumpkin door mat just screams fall and that’s what I loved about it!

The wreath I bought a few years ago at TJ Maxx. It’s not in stock anymore. But I found a beautiful one at Kirkland’s that would be just as perfect!

Hopefully you’ve found inspiration for your front porch this autumn season!
