Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year or need to bring an appetizer to Thanksgiving dinner? I have a few easy and make-ahead appetizer ideas just for you!

A few years ago, hubby and I hosted Thanksgiving for both of our families. It was the first time that we had both of them together to celebrate a holiday. While we were deep-frying the turkey, which by the way comes out delicious, I set out a few appetizers for everyone to munch on before the big meal!

One of my go-to appetizer is raspberry and brie bites. They’re delicious and probably one of the easiest appetizers you can make. And they’re so versatile. You can use any fruit preserves you think would pair well with the creaminess of brie cheese. I’ve made them before using fig preserves which you can find here.

Easy decorating tip: Add garland to your tiered serving stand for a more festive look!

Next up are these savory sausage and stuffing meat balls. They are so scrumptious! These meatballs are little bites of Thanksgiving heaven and pair so well with the cranberry sauce. You could definitely make these ahead of time to save time on Thanksgiving Day!

We all know that no party isn’t complete without a cheese ball! These have pretty much been an appetizer staple since the 80s. For Thanksgiving, I wanted to make a fall-inspired one. This cranberry-orange cheese ball fit the ticket! Serve with crackers or Triscuits on a beautiful serving platter!

My mother-in-law makes a delicious homemade butternut squash soup every year in the fall. This just screams fall and Thanksgiving! She brought it to Thanksgiving dinner and I served it in individual shooter glasses for easy consumption. I found a similar recipe that looks just as good!

Lastly, one of my husband’s favorite fall dishes is his mom’s pumpkin ravioli in a rich cream sauce. She made these and brought them to Thanksgiving dinner. They’re delicious and such a treat every year during this time. These can be time consuming but leftovers can be frozen for future use. I served them in ceramic spoons for individual use. Here’s a similar recipe that looks delicious!

Make sure you set out napkins, utensils and plates for everyone to grab and go mingle! Remember to replenish appetizers that go fast! Hint, hint – pumpkin raviolis, soup and meatballs! And enjoy yourself!!
